Well, I think it's about time. I've put this off long enough. It's time for a blog!
My name is Torsten Pearson, and I am 16 years old. I live in Bruneau, a small town in southern Idaho. Actually, I live on a dam on the Snake River, nearer to Grand View than Bruneau, but... these things are funny that way.
I have many hobbies, and almost none of them are athletic stuff. My main hobbies are art and graphic design. I just love taking a blank page, whether physically or on the computer, and coming out with something eye-catching and attractive. My main thing is t-shirt designs, though all those designs are still on my hard drive or in my head.
Another hobby that ranks at about the same favoriteness is movie making. This is another one of those things where from empty void there springs into existence an awesome action-packed short film or movie. I really enjoy that stuff, and I plan on making some sort of career out of it. You can check out my studio's site at www.firestorm.movie-productions-blogspot.com. I'd really appreciate it if you'd follow it, or at least check up on it once in a while. There isn't much up on it right now, but we're getting around to editing, soooo... maybe some stuff will pop up there soon.
A little something that goes along with that is photography. I'm a pretty dang good photographer, even if I do say so myself, and even if I'm not exactly a pro. Maybe if I had a better camera...
I also enjoy making and listening to music. I play the piano fairly well, and I participate in the usual sonata competition or music camp. I like playing the piano. I love listening to music. I really think that people who can make up a tune and put some lyrics to it are just geniuses. They have a talent that I could only dream of........ along with my music lovingness, I like to sing. I can bass in a song with parts, and I can sing the melody in an oldie.
I like to read. My favorite book is Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe. When I'm not busy designing or editing or listening to music, I try to find a good book and read it through.
After these, I have few smaller things I like to do if I get around to them (in no particular order of likingness: model making (planes and cars), running (long distance), bike riding, swimming, poetry (nothing serious)... and many other stuff I just can't think of right now.
I am the oldest of 6 children. Being the oldest can be pretty hard, but it has its rewards. My siblings are:
Hailey
My 14-year-old sister, informant and confidant. When put together in the same room, we can be a riot. We're cool.
Taylor
My 13-year-old brother. He is the VFX editor for our little movie company, and does a pretty darn good job, although he can be stubborn. What do you expect from a 13-year-old? When Taylor, Hailey and I are put in the same room, expect a major throwdown.
Heidi
The 10-year-old. Adores bunnies, stuffed owls, and cute little kittens. The girly girl of our family.
Reagan
The 8- year-old. We don't get along the best.
Leif
The crazy 2-year-old. Gets onto and into everything and is super cute.
That's right, baby.
So, this is me. This blog is a little taste of my life. I'll tell you my thoughts, feelings, and ideas about the world. I'll show you stuff I make, and sometimes I may show you how to make it. I hope that maybe by showing you my life, I'll learn something too.
So, anyways. See you later, crocodile.
